Welcome to my online space!   This site is mainly intended for my students but all are welcome.  I am an Associate Professor and lucky member of a group of fantastic legal scholars at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law .  I am particularly thrilled about the wonderful feminist community that surrounds me at the Faculty.  In addition to offering a broad and varied curriculum, our faculty offers four specific concentrations (social justice, technology and the law, environmental law, and international law).  I teach in the social justice concentration .

Under my 'teaching' pages you can find information about my upcoming classes.  If you are one of my students, you can visit 'course chat' and post  comments or questions on class discussion and readings.

Under my 'publications' page you can download all of the academic work I have written.  My main area of research interest is constitutional law and equality rights and my work is informed by feminist and critical legal perspectives.

Under the 'links' page you will find all of my fave webpages.  You can also find links to the webpages run by some of my colleagues at the Faculty.   I am always updating the information on this site so if you see something in your web-travels that I should link to, let me know.

I joined the Faculty of Law in 2001 after completing legal studies at the University of Manitoba (LL.B.) and Yale University (LL.M.).  My undergraduate degree was in history.  After articling at a small law firm in Hamilton, Ontario, I clerked at the Federal Court of Appeal for Mr. Justice Robertson and at the Supreme Court of Canada for Chief Justice Antonio Lamer

In my life outside of the law school, I share a crazy vegetarian household with my husband Stephen, our three amazing kids and the golden retriever who was our "first born".  We are an eclectic hockey household with some of us cheering for the Habs, others for the Leafs, some for the Sens and some (who fall for "cool" jerseys) for the Sabres and Sharks.  Our house is full of books and music (and dinosaurs and Pokémon ).

Check back often for I am always adding new content.  Enjoy!
